
ABOUT
Candice Nielsen is a Costume Designer working in the Salt Lake City area. Candice received her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College in Theatre and Costume Design. She also earned a BA from Brigham Young University in Theatre Arts with a costume design concentration
Here in Utah, Candice has recently designed costumes for The Prince of Egypt (Hale Centre Theatre), The Addams Family (Hale Centre Theatre), See How They Run (Hale Centre Theatre), Crazy For You (BYU), Cosi fan Tutte (BYU), and Gin Mummy (UVU). She designed contemporary dance costumes for SALT Dance company and was able to present those designs during Utah Fashion Week.
Theatrical Costume Design credits in NY include Dubliners (Sarah Lawrence College), Annie (Surflight Theatre), The Sound of Music (Surflight Theatre), Hamlet (Calhoun Summer Shakespeare), Ghost Dancer (The Show Goes On Productions), Tartuffe (Sarah Lawrence College), and Bright Ideas (The Drilling Company).
Candice has worked in film and television as a Costume Designer, Costume Coordinator, and Costumer. She recently designed the feature film, Too Soon in Salt Lake City. She also designed the feature film in NYC, Tomorrow Comes Today (official selection of the Taipei Film Festival) as well as several short films. She has worked on such television shows as Blood & Oil, Almost There, Law & Order, Blue Bloods, and Cupid and such films as Eat, Pray, Love and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.
